Your theopenworld.com Toolbar displays a
number of icons representing each feature offered. Here's what
they mean.Search Box

The heart of the theopenworld.com Toolbar. Use it to do a
Google search from anywhere on the web. Just enter your search
terms in the text box, then hit Enter on your keyboard or click
"Search". Recent searches appear in the drop-down menu below the
search box.
Alternative Ways to Search

Amazon.co.uk: You can easily search Amazon.co.uk with
the toolbar. As shown above, just enter your search terms in the
text box, click on the arrow just to right of "Search" and
drop-down list will appear. Choose Amazon UK and your search
results will appear instantly.
News & Images: Takes you directly to Google News,
which culls information from thousands of news sources worldwide
and automatically presents the most relevant news first. Topics
are updated continuously, so you see new stories each time you
visit. This same concept applys to searching Google Images. As
shown above, just enter your search terms in the text box, click
on the arrow just to right of "Search" and drop-down list will
appear. Choose Google News or Images, and your search results
will appear instantly.
iTunes: Yes, your eyes are not deceiving you, you can
search the iTunes Music Store directly from our toolbar. If you
don't have iTunes installed, you will be redirected to the
official iTunes download site. If you already have iTunes
installed and you query it, using our toolbar, iTunes will
automatically open for you and display your search results.
Kelkoo.co.uk: Kelkoo is a Yahoo! company that can
quickly and easily find out what's hot and what's not in the
world of shopping. It will tell you the price from masses of
stores, whatever your searching for, you can always get the best
price.
Search Site: Search for information just within the
pages of the website you're visiting. Enter your search terms in
the text box and click "Search Site" from the drop down menu.
Google returns results just from that website (e.g., CNN.com)
instead of the entire web.
Dictionary: Merriam-Webster is America's foremost
publisher of language-related reference works. The company
publishes a diverse array of print and electronic products,
including Merriam-Webster's Collegiate® Dictionary, Eleventh
Edition—America's best-selling desk dictionary—and Webster's
Third New International Dictionary, Unabridged.
Wikipedia (Encyclopaedia): Wikipedia is an
encyclopaedia written collaboratively by its readers. The site
is a wiki, meaning that anyone, including you, can edit almost
any article right now by clicking on the edit this page link
that appears at the top of the page.
Search Site: Search for information just within the
pages of the website you're visiting. Enter your search terms in
the text box and click "Search Site." Google returns results
just from that website (e.g., CNN.com) instead of the entire
web.
Stocks & Shares: Easily check on stocks and shares,
just enter either the company name, or stock symbol and Yahoo!
Finance will do the rest.
Weather: Just enter the place(s) you want to check the
weather on, and Yahoo! Weather will present you with a weather
forecast for the next five days.
Pop-up Blocker

The pop-up blocker prevents most pop-up ads from being
displayed by your browser. The button icon changes to reflect
whether the pop-up blocker is active or if a pop-up has been
prevented from launching. To activate the pop-up blocker, click
on where it says "Disabled" and click "Enable Pop-up Blocker".
To allow pop-ups to launch on a one time basis without turning
off the pop-up blocker, press where it say's "Blocked" and from
the drop down menu choose either "Temporaily allow pop-ups from
this site" or "Always allow pop-ups on this site". To turn off
the pop-up blocker without removing it from the Toolbar, simply
click on the icon in the Toolbar itself and click the option
"Enable pop-up blocker". The pop-up blocker icon will then read
"Disabled".
E-mail Notifier

Our toolbar can notify you on new e-mails on all Hotmail,
Gmail, POP3 and Yahoo! accounts, and you can have more than one
listed. Once set-up (easy we promise!) the software will display
how many new messages are waiting to be read (as demonstrated
above). It will even sign you into your e-mail account on either
Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo!, or if your a POP3 user (Outlook /
Outlook Express / Thunderbird etc.) it will open your default
e-mail client so you can read them.
RSS Messages

You can easily be kept up-to-date with theopenworld.com
thanks to RSS (Really Simple Syndication). The toolbar will
download our RSS feed, so you can be informed of updates from
us.
Your Local Weather

You can easily check the weather today, and for the next
three with our simple weather updates feature. It will inform
you of the outside temperature and weather conditions. Once the
toolbar is installed, just click on "Weather", type in your
local area and the weather information is set permanently, so
every time you start you computer you know what to expect
outside!
Pull Down Menu

Click the arrow just to the right of the "theopenworld.com"
logo on the left side of the Toolbar to display a menu of handy
links, including pointers to toolbar options, other services,
and help. Check out the complete list for a description of all
