2. Data security

- Are there controls and passwords in place for access to computer, software applications and the Internet?
- Is encryption software in place?
- Is Internet browser encryption feature enabled?
- Is a software firewall installed?
- Is sensitive data stored in the most secure digital area or applications?

3. Network (Internet) security

- Is a hardware firewall installed?
- Are passwords in place for access to computer, software applications and the Internet?
- Is encryption and cryptography in use for Internet, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), e-mail systems, and remote access?

So carefully consider all these aspects of data security when reviewing your home or business information security needs.
