How it Works for New Customers without a PayPal
Account
Begin to use theopenworld.com mail system it only takes four
short steps! Once you have completed the registration process,
there is only one quick step to purchase and begin using the
service.
The process is only long enough to ensure that your purchases on
the Internet are safe and your confidential information is
secure.
PayPal, a subsidiary company of eBay, handles all of our
financial transactions.
Step 1: Register with PayPal
This will take about 5 minutes and you only do this one time.
Go to the PayPal Home Page and click on one of the sign up
links. There is no charge to you for using PayPal. We pay all
transaction fees on your purchases.
Select "personal account" and the country you are located in and
click the "continue" button.
This will take you to the "Account Sign Up" page where you will
enter your name, address, and phone number.
You are now on the page where you will enter your email address,
select the password you desire along with two security questions
and answers that can be used to recover your password if needed.
Your password must be at least 8 characters long.
Next you will be asked to review and approve the PayPal User
Agreement and Privacy Policy.
Complete the sign up process by typing in the "empty box" the
letters you see right next to it in a grid box. This is a
security measure that prevents computer programs from creating
bogus accounts. Click the "sign up" button.
An email will now be sent to you asking you to confirm your
account, this a security measure. Go to your email account and
open the message from "service@paypal.com" with the subject
"Activate Your PayPal Account." Click on the link "Click here to
activate your account." You will be taken back to the PayPal
site. When the PayPal page is presented, confirm your account by
entering your password and clicking the "confirm" button.
On the page called "Email Confirmed," click the "skip" button.
Under the "Activate Account" heading on the left-hand side, tell
PayPal if you wish to make your purchases with a credit card or
your bank account. This does not result in any charge to your
credit card or bank account. It merely provides the information
so that when you are ready to purchase, everything is all set
up. This is similar to the Amazon registration process.
Step 2: Register with theopenworld.com
Then, go to our homepage (www.theopenworld.com)
and fill in your details with us. Once complete, you will be
taken to terms and conditions page. Accept our terms and
conditions and you will then taken to the next phase.
Step 3: Create your PayPal subscription
Select your choice of currency (the amount will be roughly
the same which every you choose), this can be Euro's, US Dollars
or Pounds Sterling (UK). Confirm which email address you are
purchasing and you will be then transferred to PayPal's website
(double check by looking at the webpage address which will read
PayPal.com
(or
PayPal.co.uk depending on your local country) and look for
the padlock symbol in the bottom right in your browser window).
Once complete your subscription will be confirmed by PayPal. |
