The Brits 2007

The Brit Awards was held at Earls Court, London, on 14 February. US dance act Gnarls Barkley scored three nominations for best international group, album and breakthrough act, but walked away with nothing. James Morrison won best British male, while Amy Winehouse took home best British female. The Killers won both best international group and best international album. Best British male solo artist was a five-way race between James Morrison, Jarvis Cocker, Lemar, Paolo Nutini and Thom Yorke - James Morrison was delighted to accept his first ever music award.

The event was themed around love and hate, with Oasis performing on the "hate" stage and Take That taking helm on the "love" stage.

And Oasis were honoured with an award for an outstanding contribution to music.
