More people are interested in switching from Internet Explorer to alternative browsers than ever before. Firefox empowers you to browse faster, more safely and more efficiently than with any other browser. Join more people and make the switch today - Firefox imports your Favourites, settings and other information from Internet Explorer, so you have nothing to lose.
Firefox is a stripped down, streamlined rebuild of Mozilla, which has over the years devolved into a huge bit of bloated software. From the very start with Firefox you will notice a faster, cleaner feel to your browsing, as though you're surfing the Internet having lost that beer gut from your student days.

You can now begin using tabbed browsing, which will become a fast favourite if you've never used it before. All your browser windows actually live inside a single window, each demarcated by tabs that you can click in and out of easily, which allow you to keep track of them. This was a great feature, and it's also supported in Safari and other browsers.

Firefox 2Pop-up ads are also easily blocked. In this version, you may notice the program tells you when it has blocked an ad on a particular site, though now and then one still gets through. The software also supports RSS.
